Kim Johnson, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology) is an Army brat from Memphis, TN. She graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at the University of Tennessee followed by a Small Animal Oncology Residency at the University of Missouri. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) in 2007. She has worn many hats to include oncology fellow, clinical instructor, and associate professor.

Following her stint as an associate professor at the University of Missouri and MSU CVM, she worked in specialty practice for 7 years and then started her own business, Pet Cancer Consulting which includes telemedicine and a busy locum practice. She now consults on oncology cases for us here at SVP!
