Dr. Douglas Thieme
Seiler Animal Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Dr. Douglas A. Thieme, a proud graduate of Purdue University (Class of '83), has been a dedicated veterinarian for over four decades. After starting his career in southern Indiana, Dr. Thieme made the sunny switch to Fort Lauderdale in 1986, where he honed his skills under the guidance of Dr. E.E. (Pete) Seiler. Just two years later, when Dr. Seiler retired, Dr. Thieme took the reins and has been the heart and soul of the practice ever since.
Dr. Thieme’s passion lies in general practice and surgery, with a special fondness for dentistry. He treasures the long-lasting relationships he's built with his clients, some of whom have been with him since the very beginning. When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Thieme is likely out for a run, shooting hoops, or enjoying quality time with his wife Erin, their four children—Mitchell, Maureen, Ryan, and Kathleen—and their furry family members: one cat and two dogs.
A leader in the veterinary community, Dr. Thieme is a past president of the Executive Association of Fort Lauderdale and an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the Broward County Veterinary Medical Association.

Amanda Potts
Moore Animal Hospital, Fort Collins, CO
Growing up, Mandy dreamed of being a lion tamer to bring fun to the circus. While her life took a different path, she began managing veterinary practices rather than taming a cageful of roaring lions. While in college working as a veterinary receptionist, she discovered her passion for the field and is able to surround herself with animals daily.
Mandy serves as the Hospital Manager at Moore Animal Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. Her diverse background in reception, kennel work, and management makes her an invaluable team member. Mandy enjoys connecting with both the pets and their owners, helping them with nutrition and dental care to ensure a longer, healthier life for their pets.
When Mandy's not visiting with hospital pets and their owners, she's relaxing at home with her six dogs and a cat who thinks it’s a dog. She’s also a movie buff and loves visiting nursing homes with her daughter, bringing joy to the residents.
